French Connection Mascara - Pleasing Or Poor?
French Connection is a brand that I'm largely familiar with but actually their beauty range is something that I've only recently discovered somehow, so I've been highly enjoying trying out a few of their products and putting them to the test and wanted to share with you my thoughts on a few of the products that I've tried from the brand - you may have seen my French Connection - Lip Glosses post, if you haven't check it out - in this post I wanted to focus on their mascara and give you my thoughts. I'm not too sure if their is a specific name for this mascara but I've not yet been able to find one.
The packaging I find is simple yet still a very modern design, all black with the printed brand name clearly across the front - something I've seen many times on mascara packaging, yet is still very effective regardless and something I personally like. The packaging quality feels great, very solid and well made but I'm honestly not surprised about that really because French Connection as a brand is known for its good quality - at least in clothing anyway.
When I first saw the wand of this mascara I thought it was a little odd in shape but definitely cool and different, but although I love the design and look of this, I do think that the thinner part of the wand is just a little pointless because I personally found that it was so thin in comparison to the rounded end that you really couldn't use that part even if you wanted to, with that being said I still enjoyed the wand and love the way the rounded end works on my lashes, I just think the thinner part should be a little thicker to balance out the top end.
The formula for this mascara is definitely great, its nothing life-changing or mind-blowing at all but I still think its great non-the-less. I've worn it now on multiple occasions, wearing it for around 6-8 hours a time and I actually really do like this and often find myself now choosing it over the other mascaras I own, especially on more natural makeup days.
I haven't found it to be clumpy at all, it doesn't flake off throughout the day once it has dried - I seriously hate mascara that does that! There was no smudging or bleeding into the corners of my eyes and it still looked great come the end of the day, so I was definitely impressed and soon found myself wanting to try it again and again, a sign I'm enjoying a product!
I truly adore how this makes my lashes look, its nothing too dramatic adding a touch of volume and a great length and I found the combination of formula and wand leaves my lashes beautifully full and separated every time, making it great for quick and easy makeup looks and lazy days, which I definitely have more often than not.
I'm so glad that I came across the French Connection beauty range as I'm positively over the moon to add this mascara to my collection and cannot wait to see what other treasures I find. I'm frankly a huge fan of this mascara and its quickly making its way into my top 5 favourites for sure - Definitely a pleasing product!
Let me know if you've tried this mascara yourself - what were your thoughts? Are there any other French Connection beauty products you'd like to see my review or want my thoughts on? Also let me know any recommendations that you enjoy!
