Essence - Liquid Lipsticks
When I first laid my eyes on the Essence Collection, I was blown away with the low prices on all of their products, from lip liners and glosses to nail varnish and eye-shadow, but I have to admit that it also made me a little skeptical of how good the products would be.
As someone who is a sucker for finding a good price I thought I would test out their range here on my blog one product at a time.
I would also like to mention they are a brand who do not test on animals.

Although there is not a huge range of colours out there, I own 4 of the 6 colours I know of, the selection of shades that are available to buy are so gorgeous, I really believe there is a shade for everyone.
They are not like the typical liquid lipsticks that are on trend at the moment,
in the sense that they do not try down matte, or dry down completely for that matter, they have more of a glossy finish to them.
Each shade is strong in pigmentation, and the formula is both even and consistent
throughout all of the shades that I own and are not patchy or streaky at all.
They are super comfortable to wear, very light weight on the lips and are not sticky either,
all things I personally like and look for in any lip product.
Each colour also lasts for a good amount of time on the lips, although they are not massively long wearing. Personally I would say that they last for around 4-5 hours before completely fading away, although it may be less if you are eating.
For me 4-5 hours is a long enough time to wear a lip product before having to reapply, and the colour payoff is completely worth it.
The applicators are perfect in both size and shape and they make filling your lips both quick and easy, without any pulling or fuss and there is no strong scent at all either to the formula.
Another thing I really like about this product is the packaging, the matching colour lids make them super cute and easy to identify even from the top and I like the detail of the product itself coming to a point inside the tube.
